Stone Cold Secrets

Well, that did not go as I expected! Stone Cold Secrets by Nancy Newman is a writer's masterclass on how to orchestrate compelling fiction and thread tension throughout the entirety of a novel's narrative. First, I love that this book is all about women; four, in particular, M.E., Addy, Amelia, and the murdered Raeann. As far as the point of view goes, it took some time for me to figure out who the heck I was hoping would come out clean. Or, at the very least, alive. Two down, two to go. The depth of characters is exceptional and each has their own distinct personality traits and ways. We like M.E., Addy, and Amelia, who is a bit of a wild card, and the revelations of who they truly are peel back organically in layers. With a fast-paced and engrossing storyline and some real doozies of twists that throw out wonderful spanners, Newman delivers a read worth picking up and savoring. Very highly recommended.
